I have always envied birds for their ability to defy gravity with flight. I have dreamed, as many have, of flying. I completed my private pilot's certificate in 2001 and have built and fly two light experimental airplanes. I have had many flights where buzzards, hawks and even bald eagles have flown with me in the same thermals. After nearly twenty years of flights, each takeoff and landing is as thrilling as the first.
